What you need depends on which nappy system you use.
These estimates are based on washing every 2-3 days.


1. Full-time Square Cloth Nappies.

12 Muslin for newborns.
24 Terry Towelling Nappies for newborn to 3 yrs.
12 - 24 cloth nappy liners (optional).
50 biodegradable nappy liners per fortnight (optional).
3 Nappi Nippas to hold nappy on.
12 Nappy covers; newborn and larger sizes to grow into.
2 Nappy Buckets (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs).
6 Fitted nappies to make going out trips easier (Optional).
nappy soak/cleanser or essential oils.


2. Full-time Fitted Cloth Nappies.

24 nappies
12 - 24 cloth nappy liners ( optional )
50 Biodegradable nappy liners per week
12 Nappy covers; newborn and larger sizes to grow into
3 Nappi Nippas if using non-aplix nappy
2 Nappy Buckets (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs)
3 Boosters (optional, for night time, or
if you have a heavy wetting baby)
nappy soak/cleanser or essential oils.


Nappy Wipes
You can use re-usable nappy wipes or cotton wool
balls from your supermarket if you need
disposable wipes on occasions. Packaged Nappy
wipes can be handy in emergencies but
are an expensive on-going cost to use
full-time.
