Apple and Honey Scones recipe

To make Apple and Honey Scones you will need
Ingredients
| 2 | cups | All-purpose flour | | 2/3 | cups | Wheat germ | | 2 | teaspoons | Baking powder | | 1 | teaspoon | Ground cinnamon | | 1/4 | teaspoons | Baking soda | | 1/4 | teaspoons | Salt | | 1/4 | teaspoons | Ground nutmeg | | 1/3 | cups | Butter or margarine; cold | | 1 | large | Tart apples; peeled and chop ped | | 1/2 | cups | Milk | | 1/4 | cups | Honey | | | Topping | | 2 | teaspoons | Wheat germ | | 2 | teaspoons | Sugar | | 1/4 | teaspoons | Ground cinnamon |
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine
flour,wheat germ, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.
Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. combine the
apple, milk and honey; add to dry ingredients just until moistened. Turn
onto a floured surfac, knead gently 5-6 times. Gently patt dough into a
9-in. circle, 1/2 in. thick. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over
dough. Cut into eight wedges and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at
400 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
